1996-1999 Ph.D. research at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINSc) and the Department of Ecology and Evolution, State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. Supervisors: Prof. Dr. V. Ziswiler (ZMUZ), Prof. Dr. A. Meyer (SUNY), and Dr. E. Verheyen (RBINSc).
